Limited edition bracelet to raise money for Ebony Horse Club
Sussex based international Showjumper, Yazmin Pinchen visited us today to meet some of our young riders and launch an Ebay auction to raise money for us.
She’s auctioning a specially commissioned bracelet, made of gold and horse hair, that celebrates Team GB winning Show jumping Olympic Gold at London 2012.
The bracelet, called “London 2012” is made from gold and the woven tail hairs of the four team horses that secured that Gold medal, including Ben Maher’s, Tripple X. (Ben visited us in the summer and gave some of our senior riders a memorable Masterclass.)
The bracelet is numbered and has a certificate of authenticity featuring the signatures of each of the Olympic riders who donated the tail hairs.
Working with jewellery designers The Burnished Horse, www.theburnishedhorse.co.uk, Yazmin wanted to raise money and awareness for Ebony Horse Club
During her visit, she watched a lesson with one of the seven school groups who visit us every week during term time.
“This is great! The children are having so much fun. The yard looks so smart and the little Archie reminds me of my own ‘pony days’. said Yazmin.
Of course, she also met our own superstar, Pedro the Shetland!
Yazmin, who has been tipped to be part of Team GB for the 2016 Rio Olympics is auctioning the bracelet through Ebay for charity. The auction will run from Friday 4 to Friday 11 December.
As a charity, we rely on generous grants from charitable trusts, fundraising support and donations from individuals to ensure we can provide much-needed services and support to children and young people in the local community.
